Uploading fonts to Canva & cloud tools

Which font licences allow uploading to Canva or other cloud design apps.

Uploading a font to a cloud design tool is a different use from installing it on your computer. Some licences allow it; some explicitly don't.

What the licences say

Canva: Fonts outside Canva

“Use the Font Software other than on Canva and/or as an integrated component of a Canva Design that is exported from Canva;”
canva.com

Creative Market: Canva / cloud design apps

“Each Licensed User is permitted to upload the Fonts to cloud-based design application accounts controlled by the Licensed User[s], and used only by the Licensed User[s] for the purpose of creating artwork with the Fonts.”
creativemarket.com

MyFonts (Monotype): Canva

“Unfortunately, none of our licenses available through MyFonts permits the upload or use of fonts within Canva.”
myfonts.com

For desktop font licences from other foundries, check whether the EULA allows uploading to a server or cloud service; many don't address it, which we mark “Unclear”. Open-licence fonts (OFL) don't restrict where the font file is installed.
